Notes
- ima wa mienai... and sore demo miteta... both use inflected forms of the same verb, 見る (miru, to see), but the latter uses a slightly different kanji, 視る, which suggests looking intently at something. There are other instances of deliberate use of 視る in later songs, which I've translated accordingly.
- 碧さ (aosa) literally means blueness, but can have also other contextual meanings. It can suggest youth or naivety. Considering Suite Season as a whole, I thought that the idea of a "lack of understanding" made sense as a translation here. Refer to the next two songs for further notes on 碧!
- There are also two distinct uses of the verb 探す (sagasu, to search for). In sagasu hitsuyou sae... it suggests seeking something new, but kotae wo sagashiteru uses a different kanji, 捜す, which has the nuance of trying to find something that's been lost. As with the different uses of 見る, this is also repeated in later songs, and I've tried to preserve the different nuances.
